With commercial vehicles showing a 35% increase in sales and a 17% increase in production, October has been another strong month for the Malaysian market, in figures released by the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA).
Commercial Vehicle Starting to Thrive in Line for the End of the Year
Starting with production, October was a good month for registered vehicles, with 4,162 registrations against 3,568 from October 2020. The year-to-date figures are also healthy, with 26,537 registrations so far against 19,550 from the year before, making for a 36% increase.
Sales for October were even better than production, with 6,608 sales against 4,889 from October 2020. This constitutes a 35% rise. For the year-to-date figures, this year is far higher than the last, with 42,506 sales against 36,481 from the year before.
The MAA note that October was a full month for production. Although they predict November will maintain October levels as companies gear up with promotional campaigns to end the year on a high.
