Steve Wager brings with him more than 35 years of experience in the commercial vehicle industry.
Steve Wager succeeds Matthew Lawrence as New MD of Scania Finance Asia
Scania has appointed Steve Wager as the Managing Director of Scania Finance Asia effective 1st November, 2019.
Based in Kuala Lumpur, Steve is a British national and chartered certified accountant since 1985. He brings with him more than 35 years of experience in the commercial vehicle industry.
Prior to his appointment, he was the Managing Director of Scania China from August 2016 where he increased Scania’s sales volume fivefold and increased the recognition of the Scania brand in the huge China market. Steve was also responsible for doubling the market share in South Africa and placing Scania second in the market when he was the Managing Director of Scania South Africa from 2012 to 2016.
“I am looking forward to be part of Scania’s total solutions approach in the region, especially in Malaysia. Our customers continue to appreciate the wide range of solutions under- one-roof that we could provide. They also continue to appreciate Financial Services as a product that helps them achieve more profitability,” said Steve.
Steve succeeds Matthew Lawrence, who ended his 5-year tenure here and would move on to his new role as Scania Finance China’s Managing Director effective 1st November, 2019.
斯堪尼亚委任新斯堪尼亚亚洲区融资董事经理
斯堪尼亚委任文政（Steve Wager）为斯堪尼亚亚洲区融资董事经理，从2019年11月1日起生效。
文政，英国人，自1985年以来就是一名特许会计师的他，驻地吉隆坡。他在商用车行业拥有超过35年的丰富经验。
在此之前，他曾担任斯堪尼亚中国区董事经理。他在任期内将斯堪尼亚的销售量提升了五倍，使斯堪尼亚品牌在巨大的中国市场获得认可。他在担任斯堪尼亚南非区董事经理期间（2012-2016年）曾双倍提升斯堪尼亚的南非市占额，使斯堪尼亚在该市场中名列第二。
“我期待成为斯堪尼亚在这个区域中整体解决方案的一部分，特别是马来西亚。我们将在同一屋檐下为客户提供各种广泛的解决方案，他们也能继续享有一个可协助他们实现盈利的融资服务。”文政说。
文政将接替任职5年的劳伦斯（Mathew Lawrence），而劳伦斯将出任斯堪尼亚中国区融资董事经理，从2019年11月1日起生效。
