Shell Malaysia Signs MoU
Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn Bhd and world leader in construction and road repair, Wirtgen (M) Sdn Bhd, signed a recent memorandum of understanding (MoU) to embark on a technical collaboration to deliver added value to customers in the infrastructure construction sector.
The MoU marked the coming together of two industry giants, each a market leader in its category, and embodies Shell Lubricants’ motto of ‘Together Anything Is Possible’.
Shell, according to Kline & Company’s Global Lubricants Industry: Market Analysis and Assessment 2017 report, is the largest lubricant supplier in the world for the past 11 years and offers an extensive portfolio of top-quality lubricant products and technical expertise to help companies improve their machine integrity and availability by lowering maintenance costs and reducing equipment downtime.
The Wirtgen Group of Germany is a world leader in road construction and repair. It supplies a complete range of innovative, high-performance and cost-efficient products and technologies for cold milling, soil stabilisation, hot and cold recycling, concrete paving and surface mining.
In Malaysia, the company has played a key role in the construction and maintenance of major road infrastructure projects such as the North South Highway, West Coast Highway and Pan Borneo Highway, among others.
According to Shell Lubricants General Manager – Malaysia and Singapore, Baljit Singh, there is a high level of synergy between the two companies as they share the same target customer base.
“Shell and Wirtgen have already been collaborating at a global level and we are delighted to further cement the ties in Malaysia. This collaboration goes beyond supplying our proven range of lubricants for Wirtgen’s extensive portfolio of construction equipment. It would see us jointly developing technical and training materials to benefit our mutual customers in the construction sector,” he said.
Wirtgen Malaysia Managing Director Ir Pok Sum Loong said his company’s focus on providing the best possible aftersales service to customers closely mirrored the approach of Shell Malaysia.
“Aside from sharing the same business philosophy and overlapping customers, we have total confidence in the quality of Shell’s products. This collaboration is timely as we are constantly exploring ways to deliver more value to our customers. Backed by Shell’s technical know-how, we would be able to help our customers optimise their machinery’s productivity by using the right lubricants,” he said.

蚬壳马来西亚贸易私人有限公司与世界建筑及道路维修业翘楚维特根（马）私人有限公司（Writgen（M）Sdn Bhd）签署了谅解备忘录（MoU），双方将在基础设施建设技术上合作，为客户提供附加价值。
该谅解备忘录的签署标志着两大业界巨擘的携手合作，也体现了蚬壳润滑油（Shell Lubricants）的座右铭“合作突破”（Together Anything Is Possible）精神。
根据克莱恩公司的全球润滑油工业：2017年市场分析及评估报告显示，蚬壳是过去11年来全球最大的润滑油供应商。蚬壳提供范围广泛的顶尖品质润滑油产品和专业技术，透过降低维修保养成本以及减少设备故障时间，协助企业公司改善机械的完整性和使用性。
德国维特根集团是世界道路建筑和维修业的领先者。该公司提供创新、高效及具成本效益的冷铣刨丶土壤稳定丶热与冷再生丶混凝土铺路及地面采矿产品和技术。
该公司在大马的道路建筑及维修工程项目上扮演了重要角色，例如南北大道丶西海岸大道以及泛婆罗洲高速公路等。
蚬壳润滑油大马及新加坡总经理巴尔吉（Baljit Singh）指出，由于两家公司的目标客户群相同，因此彼此之间将拥有高度协作。
