Mpire Commercial Sdn Bhd and Foton Daimler Automotive Co, Ltd jointly launched the EST-A Super Truck at the Matrade Exhibition and Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur recently. The event was officiated by Deputy Minister of Transport Dato Kamarudin Jaffar.

Also present were Wu Yue Jun, former President, Chairman and CEO of Beijing Foton Daimler; Gao Ming, Deputy General Manager Foton Asia Pacific; Dirk Steffens, Chief Engineer, Foton Motor Group; Miguel Ernesto Kindler, Plant Manager, Beijing Foton Cummins; Qin Hai Long, Deputy General Manager HDT Foton Asia Pacific and Dao Wa Latiff, Deputy CEO of Matrade.
Mpire Commercial was appointed as the distributor for the Foton-Daimler EST-A Super Truck by Beiqi Foton Motor, the largest Chinese commercial vehicle brand with the widest range of models and largest in terms of scale.
EST-A Super Truck is a co-developed product from the joint venture between China Beijing Foton Daimler Automotive and Germany’s Daimler AG, the world largest commercial vehicle manufacturer. Also known as Energy Super Truck, the new EST-A comes with the new generation Mercedes-Benz engine for Euro V and Foton-Cummins ISG for Euro III. The truck is built based on three core technologies – new energy, internet of vehicles and automatic transmission.
Fuel efficiency for the new EST-A Super Truck is increased through its high torque and low RPM technology. The aim is to realise a 30-per cent reduction in fuel consumption and carbon emission, and a 70-per cent increase in overall freight transport efficiency.
A 4-year warranty with unlimited mileage is offered by Foton-Daimler to further enhance customers’ confidence.
“The new generation super truck EST-A is a world-class new generation super truck. The introduction of EST-A would certainly recompose and reconfigure the haulage industry product option while Mpire Commercial strives to serve customer better,” said Dato Billy Goh, Group Managing Director of Mpire Auto Group.
“While ensuring customer satisfaction, we would be your cost-saving solution and help you to enhance your profitability. We have successful received bookings of 60 units of EST and EST-A from more than 6 companies, some of which are the best logistic companies in Malaysia such as PKT Logistic and ICCL from Penang,” he added.
In conjunction with the grand launch, he said Mpire Commercial was offering 2 years or 120,000km all-inclusive free maintenance to customers who booked the new trucks with the company.
About RM1 million was invested by Mpire Commercial to set up its first 3S showroom in the Elite Industrial Park, Shah Alam. The one-stop 3S centre is well equipped with a training centre and trucker lounge. There are plans to set up two more showrooms in the northern and southern regions of Peninsular Malaysia in the near future.
Mpire Commercial also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with 15 service dealers nationwide and aims to increase the number to 25 by 2019.
