First time participant Reflexallen recently showcased its wide range of products at the recent Malaysia Commercial Vehicle Expo (MCVE) 2017 to announce its return to the Malaysian market.
Reflexallen Specializes in Pneumatic and Electrical Products within the Malaysian Market
“We have been in Malaysia for almost 20 years but have stopped since 2012 due to some communication breakdown with our local distributor. Now, with Gegroco Sdn Bhd, we hope to re-establish our brand in the market,” said Reflexallen Wuxi General Manager Daniel Zini.
The company has 5 product divisions, namely pneumatic, electrical, fluid power, safety devices and special composites. For the Malaysian market, he said the focus was on pneumatic, electrical and safety device products.
“Our pneumatic division manufactures a comprehensive range of automotive tubing to meet the exacting standards of the different markets. The investment in the latest high-speed extrusion equipment allows us to produce more than a million metres of high quality tubing each week. We have the capability to process multi-layer tubes that will allow the company to offer tube solutions with increased performance for a wider range of applications. Reflexallen air brake coils had been tested to meet the safety critical parameters of DIN and ISO standards. Our wide range covers all coil permutations for both vehicle manufacturers and the aftermarket. Our current daily output has placed us as the biggest manufacturer of this product in Europe and possibly the world.”
Its electrical division manufactures a comprehensive range of electrical cables and coils for the commercial vehicle market. High specification 7 core, EBS, 15 core and adapter products are available along with ADR cables and specialist connection solutions for use in connecting trucks and trailers.
“All of our cables are developed and made at our in-house production facility using expertise and knowledge gained through more than 30 years of cable manufacturing. In addition, our electrical connectors are designed and developed to ensure an assembled product of the highest quality. Together with our own internal testing facilities, this combines to provide a trustworthy product range that is already approved by major fleets and original truck/trailer manufacturers. Apart from that, we also produce electrical products for the military,” he added.
He also said they were currently waiting for the SIRIM certification approval for the company’s safety devices such as safety stickers and reflective tapes.
Reflexallen was established in 2009 when Reflex SRL of Guiglia, Italy purchased Allen Group Limited (AGL). AGL had, and continues to have, manufacturing plants in Bodelwyddan, UK; Wuxi, China; and Jamshedpur, India. In addition, the group now has manufacturing plants in Indianapolis, USA; Sao Paolo, Brazil; as well as four additional Indian sites. There are also sales offices around the world, in Japan, Germany, Benelux and Northern Ireland.
Reflex has long been a market leader in the manufacture of reflective signs and plates for commercial vehicle, while previously Allen produced parts comprising a wide range of hoses and tubes, both mono-layer and multi-layer structures, for pneumatic and fuel applications. A major product line is the coiled air hoses (air-brake coils) for the connection between articulated trucks and trailers. Other products are pre-formed pipes for fluid power transfer, such as fuel- pipes, coolant hoses, power steering pipes, among other items.
