Higer Establishes Strategic Collaboration in Malaysia for New Energy Buses
As a renowned local automobile manufacturing and sales company, G.A. is engaged in vehicle import and export, assembly, manufacturing and sales service. The company is also one of the enterprises that obtained the EEV manufacturing licence from Malaysia’s Ministry of International Trade and Industry the earliest. After several rounds of survey and technical demonstration at the early stage, the company decided to purchase the first batch of 50 new energy buses (10m-12m) from Higer, with the total contract amounting to US$15 million. These buses are expected to be delivered at the end of this year.
These Higer new energy electric buses would be powered by new-generation lithium titanate fast-charging batteries, which feature 10-minute fast charge, 20,000 life cycles and higher safety compared to traditional lithium batteries. Designed and manufactured in accordance with EU standards, this model was certified by Malaysia’s Ministry of Transport and obtained VTA.
Located in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, Higer is described as a ‘world-renowned’ bus manufacturer that turns out and sells 30,000 large and medium-sized buses annually. “In recent years, under the national strategy of ‘Belt and Road‘, we have introduced new energy buses to European markets such as Serbia, Bulgaria, Italy and Austria. The new energy buses about to be delivered to Malaysia are based on our latest electric bus technology solution and have been improved greatly according to local road conditions and driving habits. I believe that Higer’s safe and environmentally-friendly new energy buses will boost the construction of the local green and safe public transport system and offer local residents optimal travel solutions,” said Huang Shuping, General Manager of Higer.
