“DITP has been granting this Excellent Logistics Management Award (ELMA) to entrepreneurs for 13 years now. The award is aimed at stimulating Thai logistics service providers to improve their competitiveness in logistics management to achieve sustainable success in service excellence and be recognised internationally,” said Miss Banjongjitt.
Jitchai Nimitpanya, Chief Executive Officer of JPK Cold Storage Company Limited, a professional service provider with more than 6 years of experience for cold storage, temperature-controlled warehousing services, chilled and frozen storage, and duty-free warehouses, said: “We are honoured to receive this prestigious award and thankful for the valuable advice and recommendations from the judging committee that we could leverage on to become more competitive globally. One of our key strengths that earned us this award, we believe, is the development of our Cold Chain Management System or CCMS. CCMS is a single platform that seamlessly integrates every work function concerning our free-zone warehousing and cold storage with temperature ranging from -40 to +25 degrees Celsius. CCMS allows us to record movements of all goods through barcoding system and radio-frequency identification (RFID) and track the current status of the goods in real-time, minimising possible errors and reducing manpower. The design of the system is to meet every type of storage needs for all customers.”
Kettivit Sittisoontornwong, Chief Executive Officer/Founder of LEO Global Logistics Public Company Limited, one of Thailand’s leading total logistics service providers with above 29 years of experience offering worldwide service coverage, stated: “LEO Global, which received ELMA in 2016, decided to apply for this year’s award and as a result was selected as the winner of ELMA 2019 in the International Freight Forwarding Services category. Winning this distinguished award reflects our service excellence, boosts the company’s competitive advantage and increases customer confidence. We believe that the continuous development of our in-house Cyber Freight Software Package (CSP) programme is one of our company’s key strengths. In the past year, we developed our new in-house mobile application called ‘Book LEOY’ allowing our customers to book our delivery services via their smartphones and tablets. This also results in a long-term cost reduction and significant workload reduction for employees as booking process is easier and more convenient for our customers.”
Visarn Chansate, Managing Director of ThaiSomdej Service Company Limited, a Customs Brokerage Service Provider with more than 49 years of experience, said: “Last year, ThaiSomdej Service won ELMA 2018 in Customs Brokerage Services category. And for the 2nd consecutive year in applying for ELMA, a prestigious award that is recognised locally and internationally, we are honoured to be selected as an ELMA 2019 winner. Since 2018, we have leveraged our strengths from last year’s assessment and applied those valuable advice and recommendations from the committee to improve the company’s operations and management. This year, we developed a new application called ‘Track & Trace’ offering real-time status update with online accessibility. This programme is mainly designed for our employees to work more conveniently, quickly and precisely resulting in prompt and accurate customs clearance and delivery.”
ELMA 2019 is categorised into 4 areas: Transportation Services, Warehousing Services, International Freight Forwarding and Customs Brokerage Services, and Third Party Logistics Services: 3PL.
