Hino Motor Sales (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd held a simple handover ceremony of 5 Hino 500 Series trucks to JHC Logistics Sdn Bhd on 25th April, 2017. The event, held at JHC Logistics’ Rawang office, marked a new partnership between the 2 parties as this was the first time JHC was buying brand new Hino trucks. JHC’s fleet prior to the recent purchase consisted of rebuilt Hino trucks.
Hino Sends Five Hino 500 Series Trucks to JHC Logistics
Amran Abdullah, Managing Director of JHC Logistics, said the company started using rebuilt trucks a few years ago as many trucks were urgently required when it secured projects with a local automotive manufacturer. After 1-2 years, the company realised that its fleet maintenance costs were quite high. It was then that JHC Logistics started looking at investing in new trucks. After much research, it decided on buying 5 Hino 500 Series trucks.
Abdullah added: “Over the last few months, we found that our running costs has started to come down. I hope this new relationship with Hino Motors can develop further. If we can get business from new customers, we will try to use new trucks. Today is the beginning of working with Hino Motors and hopefully we will eventually be long-term partners.”
Ken Iwamoto, Managing Director of Hino Motors Sales Malaysia, said: “Our business policy is not just to manufacture products but rather to be a true business partner to support our customers’ operation. Our 2 main pillars are how to maximise uptime and minimise downtime costs for our customers.”
The JHC Group traces its beginnings to its flagship company, JHC Express. Since the founding of JHC Express on 7th April, 1999, the company was committed to building its regional reach and this was realised in 2013 with the incorporation of Japan High Comm Malaysia Sdn Bhd as part of the new JHC Group.
Recognising the acute gap in the provision of specialised logistics solutions for the local automotive industry, JHC Logistics was established on 8th March, 2012 to broaden the Group’s capabilities. What began as consultation services for line-site delivery of automotive parts led to a collaborative logistics service package developed by JHC Logistics and Malaysia’s national postal service provider for the country’s pioneering national automotive manufacturer.
Currently, JHC Logistics customises logistics solutions for several premier automotive companies in the country. The company says its logistics services for a leading national automotive manufacturer are currently being held as the logistics industry standard in Malaysia and it is consolidating its position as the logistics provider for automotive manufacturers.
