18 Scania buses have been delivered by Scania Malaysia to Agensi Pelancungan D & Adik Beradik Sdn Bhd, an established express and tour bus operator based in the east coast region. The company has been Scania’s valued customer since 2013. Scania Malaysia recently handed over the keys for 18 new Scania buses to one of its key customers in Kuala Terengganu, Agensi Pelancungan D & Adik Beradik Sdn Bhd. The company is an established express and tour bus operator based in the east coast region and Scania’s valued customer since 2013.
Held at the Scania Kuala Terengganu service facility in Gong Badak, the handover was officiated by Scania Southeast Asia Sales Director Daniel Tan to Agensi Pelancungan D & Adik Beradik’s Managing Director Haji Ariffin Daud, who had cited performance, reliability, fuel economy and safety as reasons why the company decided to add the Scania buses for its tour operations throughout Peninsular Malaysia.
In addition to contributing to the total operating economy of its business, he acknowledged the excellent after-sales service that Scania provides, which is crucial for the buses’ uptime.
The acquired K360IB4x2 buses feature a powerful engine with higher torque at lower revs and are equipped with the Scania Opticruise gearchange technology that promises better comfort while reducing clutch and synchromesh wear.
Financed by Scania Credit Malaysia since 2015, the buses come with the standard package offering of the two-year free Scania Maintenance; two-year free 24/7 Scania Assistance and a ten-year free Fleet Management System (FMS) package.
Scania Credit Malaysia eases the overall purchasing process for its customers by offering attractive and comprehensive financial solution packages such as hire purchase and leasing for acquisition of Scania vehicles that best suit their business plan and budget.

Specially created for its customers, the Scania FMS is a total solutions approach that helps them make informed decisions when it comes to achieving best profitability and efficiency in their businesses. The data gathered from the driver’s performance and vehicle is then used with methods such as driver training and coaching to increase productivity of the fleet, including ways to achieve fuel economy and reduce cost of operations.
The handover and award presentation were held in conjunction with the Scania Open Day, which served as an opportunity for staff and their immediate family members to see what it’s like to work at Scania and what Scania could offer as an employer.
