Hino Delivers its 100,000th Truck to Ikhasas Resources
Hino Motors Sales (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (HMSM) celebrated another milestone recently by delivering the 100,000th Hino truck to its existing customer, Ikhasas Resources Sdn Bhd. The joyous occasion was marked by an official handover ceremony during the Hino Chinese New Year Open House held at HMSM headquarters in Petaling Jaya.
Leveraging its empire for more than 40 years here in Malaysia, and marking 100,000 units of product sales in Malaysia, Hino has proven its trusted product and stability in the Malaysian market as well as proving the products aligned to customer’s satisfaction, trust and confidence.
“Since our establishment in Malaysia in 1977, HMSM has grown and reached accumulated sales of 100,000 units. We are motivated to know that we have stood as part of the logistics and distribution industry in Malaysia to deliver the goods with our passion ‘Transporting Every Happiness’. Thank you to all our esteemed customers for the continuous support and trust with the Hino brand,” said Managing Director of HMSM, Atsushi Uchiyama.
During the 100,000th vehicle sales celebration, Atsushi Uchiyama also took the opportunity to present an appreciation reward to Dato’ Roslan Zainal, the Director of Ikhasas Resources, a Japan Trip including the opportunity to visit Hino Motors Limited.

Based on data released by the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA), HMSM delivered a total of 5,520 vehicles in 2019, and secured a 38.1 per cent share of the market. The company ranked top position in the overall truck market with 37 per cent market share in Malaysia.
Meanwhile, in the Malaysian bus segment, HMSM claims more than half of the market share at 61.9 per cent.
