Commenting on this year’s outlook, Yee said they are confident that the CV division will do better this year with the rising commercial activ- ity and growth in the construction sector. “We shall concentrate on tender businesses for
our buses and as well for our vans and we shall target the ambulance tenders. FUSO sales will definitely pick up as supply normalises, and in anticipation of this, we have recently invested in our production capacity and production line realignment to increase output.”
Meanwhile, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s pas- senger cars division maintained its lead in the premium passenger car market with a steady growth throughout the year closing 2011 with a new sales record of 5,431 units, 9 per cent higher than the company’s best performance to date of 5,003 units sold in 2010.
