 “As for the web-based system, you don’t store your data on internal hardware, for example, the computer. Instead you access your sys- tem and all of the information through a web browser such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer. With that kind of flexibility, you can update data, check stock capacity, issue order and invoice from anywhere with any devices, including smart phones (iPhone, Samsung, among others) and tablets such as iPads and Galaxy.”
Currently, Webmax Technologies had come out with 2 packages, giving its clients the option to buy or rent eMax Online. Under the rent package, the system was hosted by the company, thus there was no installation and maintenance fee. The minimum contract period was 12 months, with monthly rental fees varying according to the number of account users with unlimited device access. These included RM99 per month, limited to one account user, RM199 for 3 account users, RM299 for 5 users and RM399 for 20 users.
“Our web servers are guaranteed at 99.9 per cent of network up-time. The only disadvantage of the rental option is that if the internet is down, you can’t gain access to the system, but you can share your mobile broadband to gain access. ” he added.
As for the purchase option, Yap said, clients were charged RM3,800 for the eMax Online software to be installed on a Windows platform (up to 5 us- ers) while it cost RM6,800 for a server-based platform. The installation and maintenance would be handled by the company.
“We provide free on-site training for all our clients in the Klang Valley. For customers who are located more than 50km outside the Klang Valley, we will charge a transportation fee.
“Our eMax Online is also very suitable for retreaders. We have added a special function, a tyre casing module, allowing retreaders to track and manage their tyre casing more efficiently. It helps the retreaders track all the individual tyre serial numbers, ensuring full and complete traceability, so that they can provide their customers with greater details such as the arrival time of the casings, whether the casing is acceptable or rejected, the number of times that the casing had been retreaded, among others, in real time. We are providing 2 options for the retreaders as well, which is similar to the auto workshop system. The only differ- ence is in the pricing due to the add-on tyre casing module; it costs an additional RM1,000.”
At present, Webmax had more than 400 customers involved in the work- shop business across Peninsular Malaysia. According to Yap, its cus- tomers were from several industries such as tyre wholesalers like Hoe Guan Pin Kee Sdn Bhd and Emkay Tyre Auto Service Sdn Bhd; auto- motive service workshops such as AT&T Tayar Sdn Bhd, Eng Hing Air- Cond & Auto Repair Sdn Bhd (6 branches), and Wing Hing Tyres Auto Services Sdn Bhd (7 branches); tyre retreaders such as L Soon Tyre Re- treading and Weng Keong Pencelup Tayar Sdn Bhd, just to name a few.
For the transportation sector, Yap said, it had developed a web-based fleet management system that could help the companies track fleet in- efficiencies, increase the visibility of all running related costs including whether the trip was profitable, and ensure that the fleet was operating at its full potential.
Apart from the standard solutions, Webmax Technologies was able to pro- vide customised solutions according to the requirements and needs of us- ers. “We have a very strong programming team in Singapore, Sales and support are handled by the Malaysian side. We also provide other services such as system design, consultancy, project management, internet applica- tion development, and hardware. ”

“我们为巴生河谷的客户提供免费的培训。对那 些位处于超过巴生河谷50公里的客户,我们会收 取车马费。我们的eMax Online非常适合轮胎翻胎 业者。我们特别加添了一个称为‘胎体模块”的 特殊功能,让翻胎业者可更有效地追踪和管理他 们的胎体。它协助翻胎业者追踪个别的轮胎序列 号码,确保更完整的可追踪性,以便他们能够为 客户提供更详细的资料如实时的胎体抵达时间、 胎体是否被接纳或被拒绝、胎体的翻新次数等。 我们也为翻胎业者提供一如上述修车厂的两种配 套,唯一的不同点是由于添加了胎体模块,必须 加付1,000令吉。
目前,Webmax在马来西亚半岛拥有超过400名与修 车厂业务相关的客户。据叶祥国表示,他的客户 来自各个行业,包括轮胎批发商如Hoe Guan Pin Kee私人现有公司和Emkay轮胎汽车服务私人有限 公司、汽车服务修车厂如AT&T轮胎私人有限公 司、Eng Hing空调机汽车修理私人有限公司(6家 分行)和Wing Hing轮胎汽车服务私人有限公司 (7家分行)、轮胎翻胎业者如L Soon 轮胎翻新和 Weng Keong 轮胎翻新私人有限公司等。
在运输业方面,叶祥国说,他们也研发了一个基于 网络的车队管理系统,可协助公司追踪车队的低效原 因,增加所有营运成本的可见度,包括该行程是否有 利可图,确保车队充分发挥其运作潜能。
除了常规解决方案,Webmax科技也可按客户需求,为 他们量身打造解决方案。“我们在新加坡拥有一个强 劲的程式设计队伍,销售和支援则由马来西亚公司负 责。我们也提供全套的服务如系统设计、咨询、项目 管理、互联网应用研发及硬体。”
