temperature distribution, the T-Series Spectrum reduced noise and emis- sion while maximising performance. The T-1200R Spectrum had a class- leading 11,300 W of refrigeration ca- pacity at O◦C box temperature, which exceeded the performance of some trailer units.
With advanced technology such as the Truck Smart Reefer (TSR-2) controller and micro-channel condenser coils, it resulted in greater fuel efficiency. On the T-1200R and T-1200R Spectrum, further fuel savings were achieved by an Electric Throating Valve (ETV) that provided fast- er temperature pull down that contributed to lower fuel consumption during pre-trips and in between door openings.
Meanwhile, the T-Series Whisper was conceived and designed with ultra-low noise as a key requirement. According to Monzone, the T-1000R and T-1200R Whisper models were optimised to ensure up to 75 per cent less noise compared to their predecessors and up to 20 per cent quieter against quiet technologies used by competitors.
All the T-Series truck refrigeration units were fitted with GreenTech engines from Thermo King. These engines, claimed Monzone, were the cleanest in the re- frigeration unit market and drastically re- duced emissions, waste and noise pollu- tion, while exceeding the most stringent EU standards with an enhanced perfor- mance. Running at no more than 80 per cent of their maximum output, the oil and coolant temperatures were reduced, re- sulting in less component stress and lon- ger engine life.
With the widest range in the truck refrig- eration industry, Monzone stressed that there was a model in the Thermo King T Series that suited all trucks, from the smallest to the largest, and running one, two or three temperature zones. In addi- tion, all the T-Series units came with a full 2-year warranty.
The best way to ensure your Thermo King unit remained in top condition and cost effective to operate, Monzone said, was to use original replacement parts. Monzone explained that this was be- cause Thermo King offered the highest quality maintenance items in the market and all products were designed spe- cifically for the extreme demands under truck and trailer temperature control ap- plications.
