Scania Malaysia Hosts Top Teams from Southeast Asi
Scania Malaysia hosted the best technical teams from Southeast Asia for a Top Team Competition to help them prepare for the high level competition that they had already qualified for when they head to the region- al finals in Guangzhou, China on 19th September, 2015.
Its own Top Team had the opportunity to polish their main- tenance and servicing skills in friendly competitions with the teams from Scania Singapore, Thailand, Myanmar and the Philippines that will also compete in China.
It was also seen as an especially valuable experience for Scania’s exclusive authorised dealer Octagon Automobile & Machinery Services of Myanmar and its authorised dealer BJ Mercantile of the Philippines. It was the first time that both teams could compete against those from other countries.
After receiving an extensive briefing, the teams were tested on their competency to master and develop their skills, com- bining studies, training and teamwork, at the competition that was held at the Scania Malaysia facility in Shah Alam.
Each team was tested on its proficiency in technical com- petency, ability to analyse problems, learning to delegate responsibility, enhancing and cultivating teamwork, and having foresight in solving problems and overcoming chal- lenges systematically and efficiently.
Consisting of three service personnel, one parts person- nel and a service advisor, the teams had to solve a series of challenges and problems involving five components – Theory, Electrical, Transmission, Engine and Suspension.
“The sporting element in the Scania Top Team competition creates excitement in the teams and promotes self-worth and a sense of pride in giving their best always, making them better technicians,” said Finance and Administration Director of Scania Southeast Asia, Ulrika Hellberg.

在深入简报会后，各队伍将在马来西亚斯堪尼亚位于沙亚南的 车厂接受技能测试，以掌握和开发技艺能力，学习、培训及培 养团队精神。
各队伍都需经过技术熟练度、分析问题能力、学习授权、提升 和培养团队精神、解决问题的远见，以及系统化与有效率地克 服各种挑战的测试。
这些由三名维修人员，一名零件人员及一名维修顾问组成的队 伍，都必须解决包含五大范围----理论、电气、传动、引擎及 悬挂系统的系列挑战和问题。
“斯堪尼亚顶尖队伍竞赛在队伍里制造了紧张的气氛，激发他 们争取作为更优秀技术员的最佳表现，提升自我价值和自豪 感。”斯堪尼亚东南亚财务兼行政主管赫尔伯( Ulrika Hell- berg) 表示。
