Scania Delivers 100 Buses to Taiwan
Scania is to deliver an additional 100 chassis to Taiwanese bus bodybuilder Gen-Chen. The company has worked with Scania since the early 1990s, and in recent years exclusively re- lies on Scania.
“Scania has built a strong name for itself in the Tai- wanese bus market over the past 30 years,” says Chen Horn-Ho, Chairman of Gen-Chen. “Our cus- tomers appreciate Scania Taiwan’s extensive ser- vice network that offers the best possible support for their competitive businesses.”
Scania’s Euro 5 coaches have become the best- selling buses in the high-end coach and intercity market in Taiwan. More than 550 Scania coaches have put on roads since they were introduced in 2013. 2014 was a record year for Scania in Tai- wan with 623 units ordered and 367 units regis- tered.

Foton Signs Powertrain Co-operation with Ricardo
福田与里卡多签 署动力系统合约
福田汽车，欧曼商用车品 牌制造商，与英国里卡 多公司合作签约仪式在 6月19日于英国伦敦隆重举办，双 方就动力系统产品方面达成合作。
里卡多是全球最知名的动力系统 咨询公司之一，聚焦于动力系统研发和应用，还有 测试服务和系统。
福田和里卡多的技术合作早在2013年就已经开始， 主要的项目是1.4 GDI(小排量涡轮增压+直喷)与 1.2 MPI引擎。这两款引擎已经批量生产。
在目前的阶段，里卡多和福田将在轿车上合作， 包括动力系统产品研发、新技术研发及引擎设计 和研发。
福田汽车在与引擎巨头康明斯成功合作大排量机型 之后，再次联合世界引擎巨头开拓小排量机型市 场，打造引擎全系列产品的产品结构布局。
On June 19, 2015, in Lon- don, England, Foton, the manufacturer of the Au- man brand of commercial vehicles, signed a contract with Ricardo UK Ltd for in-depth cooperation in powertrain research and develop- ment.
Ricardo is one of the most re- nowned powertrain consultancies in the world, focused on powertrain development and applications,
along with testing services and systems.
Foton and Ricardo’s technical cooperation actually dates back to 2013 with 1.4TGDI (small turbo + direct injection) and 1.2MPI engines. Both engines have already gone into mass production.
At this stage, Ricardo and Foton will cooperate on passenger vehicles – including powertrain products’ research, new technical research and engine design and development.
Due to its successful cooperation with Cummins in developing large displacement engines, Foton will begin partnering with Ricardo, another worldwide engine magnate, to develop in the small displacement en- gine market, as well as update Foton’s full series of engines.
