Monzone Air-Conditioning Pte Ltd made its presence again at the recently concluded Food and Hotel Malaysia 2017 trade show, held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from 26th to 29th September.
Monzone Presents Cutting-Edge Transportation Solutions at FHM 2017
Products on display included the Thermo King SLXi series, T-1000M, SV-800 refrigeration units as well as the ColdCubes containers.
The SLXi is Thermo King’s new trailer refrigeration unit that is designed to meet all customers’ demands for ultra-fresh products being delivered to ultra-tight schedules while limiting overall costs. In other words, it means upsizing performance while downsizing operating costs.
Offered as an extensive range of single and multi-temperature units, the SLXi is customised with performance-enhancing options. A refrigeration unit, like any capital equipment, must deliver a return on investment that is quantified by calculating the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Fuel typically comprises more than 50 per cent of the TCO over a 7-year first life.
Apart from that, the SLXi allows operators to choose the best balance between exceptionally precise temperature control and market-leading fuel economy to match unit performance to the particular requirements of the load. As such, the company said it could provide exceptional fuel savings with non-sensitive products and superior temperature control with sensitive products.
The SV-800 is the new additional model of the SV platform. SV, as the acronym of Supreme Vehicle-powered, is designed for refrigerated transport in light, medium and heavy vehicles. This new SV platform is equipped with an optimised refrigeration system, robust TK compressor, and many other proven components, to ensure state-of-the-art quality and reliability. Its superior cooling capacity protects perishable cargo, reducing the concern of load loss.
As for the T-1000M truck refrigeration unit, the company said it was suitable for truck bodies with box length ranging from 5 to 8 metres. The T-Series M units are reportedly renowned for low fuel consumption, lower life cycle costs, being easy to use and service, quieter operation and capacities that match customers’ requirements.
Lastly, the ColdCubes containers, which were said to attract the most attention from visitors, offer a flexible and portable cooling and freezing solution for a variety of applications. The containers, available in three sizes, are effectively portable freezing or cooling boxes that could be inserted in the back of a van. The main applications are in small vehicles for businesses with limited capacity requirements for cooling and freezing and as rental units for use during service events. They could also be used in larger vans and full size trailers for load optimisation purposes.
This year, the FHM 2017 attracted 1,250 participating companies and 25,823 visitors. Monzone, the distributor of Thermo King’s products, said it was pleased with the response received during the exhibition. According to the company, its booth attracted more than 300 business visitors.
Monzone said it prepared many quotations for potential new customers as well as existing customers, and were still receiving quotation requests. The company also expressed confidence in converting at least 25 to 35 per cent of the enquiries into sales.
