Local truck distributor Angka-Tan Motor Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Warisan TC Holdings and a member of Tan Chong Group, recently launched the all-new heavy-duty commercial prime mover – Foton Auman EST (Energy Super Truck) series.

The best testimony for the Auman EST launch was the handing over of 38 trucks to customers. In fact, the manufacturer is so confident of this truck’s capabilities that it is providing a 4-year unlimited mileage warranty. This should convince the customers’ hearts and minds to place orders.
Manufactured by Beijing-based Foton Daimler Automotive Co Ltd, the latest Auman EST truck is part of the Foton Super Truck Series that is fully-equipped with advanced mobility technologies.
It was built using globally-renowned technologies from the United States, Germany and China. It is powered by a US-based Cummins ISG 12-litre engine mated to a German ZF’s latest innovative TraXon transmission and features Beijing Foton Daimler Automotive’s application of European technology into its newly styled body.
The combination of these technologies makes the Auman EST fully capable of carrying out highly demanding operations while maintaining high standards in fleet and trucking routines.

The Auman EST is produced in a globally digital paradigmatic factory with TOS+ (Truck Operating System) management system and advanced manufacturing capabilities and technologies. Development of the truck includes rigorous testing regimes and on-road testing in various road conditions, temperature and altitude to ensure its superior quality, durability and performance.

Highly fuel efficient for positive bottom line impact
Fuel economy is one of the priorities for companies in the logistics and haulage business. The Auman EST is fuel efficient with the advanced Cummins ISG engine that reduces emission significantly. Its high torque output at low revs and a wide RPM range increases transmission efficiency and fuel economy.
The lightweight Cummins engine, aluminium-alloy ZF’s 16-speed transmission, fuel tank and the newly-designed body that optimises aerodynamics for low drag and low rolling resistance all contribute to fuel efficiency.
Safety at its uncompromised best
The Auman EST has undergone stringent and harsh crash tests in accordance with the European standard and regulation (UNECE R-29-03).
A host of features that makes this prime mover one of the best in its class in safety includes the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Acceleration Slip Regulation (ASR) that configures intelligently to minimise the potential of skidding. Furthermore, the powerful engine compression braking technology (iBrake), with a maximum braking force of up to 370 horsepower, allows the ECU to intelligently control each braking wheel according to the operating conditions.
The cabin section is equipped with a large solid bumper, LED daytime running lights, high intensity headlamps and an anti-mud angle plate. The new Auman EST also significantly improves driver’s vision especially during night driving, further increasing safety on the road.
Extra comfort for drivers
Built with the driver in mind, the latest Auman EST boasts a great ergonomic interior layout, with spacious and high-roof cabin for driving comfort and movement. Other key features for comfort and safety include adjustable steering wheel, user-friendly dashboard for practicality and convenience, air-suspension driver seat with lumbar support, electrically adjustable rearview mirror and roof window, and ultra-wide twin bunk beds.
The truck’s full air suspension cabin also meets European standards in good quality sound proofing to reduce interior noise.
The Auman EST truck is available in three different models. In addition to the comprehensive after-sales support from 18 service dealers, the 4-year warranty with unlimited mileage is the highest package in the local truck market. In conjunction with the launch, Angka-Tan Motor offered a special price for the first 30 units booked before 31st August, 2018.
