IVECO’s flagship heavy-duty truck, the IVECO S-Way (Model Year 2024), has been officially certified by TÜV SÜD for achieving up to 10.54 per cent fuel savings compared to its 2022 predecessor.

Innovative Features of IVECO S-Way Boost Fuel Efficiency

This independent validation reinforces IVECO’s commitment to delivering tangible benefits to customers through enhanced efficiency and performance.

Luca Sra, President of the Truck Business Unit at Iveco Group, highlighted the significance of this achievement, stating that the TÜV SÜD certification proves the company’s ability to fulfill its promise of high performance and significant fuel savings. He emphasised that the IVECO S-Way MY24 was designed with the customer in mind, ensuring both economic and environmental advantages.

The improved fuel efficiency of the IVECO S-Way is attributed to advancements in powertrain technology, aerodynamics, and driveline optimisation. The truck is powered by the cutting-edge XCURSOR 13 engine from FPT Industrial, which has been engineered for greater combustion efficiency and reduced CO₂ emissions. The integration of a new high-performance engine brake enhances braking performance while also contributing to overall fuel economy. Additionally, the long rear axle ratio of 2.17 and an upgraded GPS predictive drive system further optimise efficiency, providing smoother and more economical operation.

With its focus on productivity, safety, and connectivity, the IVECO S-Way MY24 not only enhances fleet competitiveness but also helps reduce operating costs and environmental impact. This certification marks another milestone in IVECO’s drive toward more sustainable and efficient transport solutions.

TÜV SÜD, a globally recognised authority in quality, safety, and sustainability, conducted comparative tests on the IVECO S-Way MY24 and its predecessor under identical conditions. These real-world evaluations confirmed the significant improvements in fuel consumption, positioning the IVECO S-Way as one of the most efficient heavy-duty trucks in its class.
