Scania Continues to Minimise Emissions From Its Products and Operations
Circular Agency and North-South Transport (CANST) received a special recognition for being the third best transport company in reducing CO2 emissions via the Scania Ecolution partnership agreement.
This success led CANST to commit the purchase of 10 new Scania vehicles; four of the G410A6x2NZ and six of the G360A4x2NA with Repair & Maintenance (R&M) contracts, all of which would be included in the Scania Ecolution partnership. CANST’s success and commitment to further reduce its carbon footprint was officialised in a recent event graced by Heba El Tarifi, Managing Director, Scania Southeast Asia, and Dato’ Lee Hau Hian, Managing Director of Batu Kawan Berhad, at CANST’s premises. CANST is a subsidiary of the Batu Kawan Berhad Group.
’A Good Driver’ is a competition that aims to find the best driver with the best improvement in CO2 emissions reduction. For this competition, Scania created a special recognition for the top three companies in CO2 emissions reduction. All of these are part of Scania’s commitment towards minimising emissions from its products and own operations. These include cutting CO2 emissions by 20 per cent from its customers’ land transport per transported tonne by 2025 (using 2015 as a baseline) and 50 per cent from its own operations…..
