北汽福田在菲律宾建厂
据菲律宾《星报》报道，中国商用车制造商北汽福 田汽车公司将在未来的3年里，投资200万美元于 菲律宾的工厂。该新厂将为东南亚的市场装配车 子，并将在初期提供120个就业机会。
该公司向国有克拉克发展公司(Clark Development Corpora- tion)租赁了5万平方米的土地，合约的有效期为25年。该产 业是前克拉克空军基地，自1901年以来，被美军占用了4,500 英亩作为空军基地，并在1991年时转至菲律宾政府名下。
北汽福田在2006年时进军菲律宾市场。目前，它在菲律宾通 过14家代理销售的车辆包括:MPX迷你货车、Blizzard 皮 卡、View 迷你巴士及轻卡及中型卡车系列，并拥有60多家 修车厂。
The Philippines Star newspaper has reported that China commercial vehicle maker Beiqi Foton Motor Co, will invest $20 million over the next three years in a new plant in the Philippines. The new plant will assembly vehicles for Southeast Asian markets, and will employ at least 120 workers in the initial stage.
The company has leased 50,000 square metres of land from state-owned Clark Development Corporation for a term of 25 years. The property is part of the former Clark Air Base, a sprawling 4,500-hectare US military site dating back to 1901 that was transferred to the Philippine government in 1991.
Beiqi Foton entered the Philippines in 2006. Currently, it sells the MPX minivan, the Blizzard pickup truck, the View minibus and a range of light and medium trucks through 14 dealerships, and has more than 60 repair shops in the Philippines.
