欧曼重卡登陆大马
Angka-Tan Motor Sdn Bhd (ATMSB), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Wari- san TC Holdings Bhd, has launched Auman heavy duty trucks recently.
Auman heavy duty trucks are manufac- tured by Beiqi Foton Motor Co., Ltd of China, which claims a position as the world’s largest maker of commercial ve- hicles. In Malaysia, ATMSB is the exclu- sive distributor of the wide range of Au- man trucks and buses.
In Feb 2012, Beiqi Foton and Daimler AG linked a joint-venture agreement that involved a total investment of about USD 886 million, with the basic objective of utilising Daimler’s world-class technology, especially that of diesel engines, to build Foton Auman heavy duty trucks. The com- pany also linked a joint-venture with Cum- mins Engine Co., Ltd of USA in 2008.
The latest series of Auman heavy duty trucks that made its debut were the Au- man dump truck 6x4 and the Auman concrete mixer, both with a GVW of 24,000 kg, as well as the Auman Prime Movers 6x4 and 4x2 with GVW of 65,000 kg and 55,000 kg respectively. The Au- man dump truck comes in Completely Knocked-Down (CKD) form and is as- sembled locally, while the concrete mixer and prime movers are imported in Com- pletely Built-Up (CBU) Units.
These robust heavy duty trucks are equipped with high performance turbo- charged intercooled engines of Euro 2 standard, offer optimal fuel efficiency and provide the opportunity for increased productivity and profitability to their own- ers. The dump truck and concrete mixer truck are catering to the construction and infrastructure industry while the prime movers are designed to serve the logis- tics and haulage sector.

rector Ngu Ew Look said, ATMSB is confident of penetrating about 8 per cent of the heavy duty truck market in Malaysia.
“Over the last three years, China-made heavy trucks have gradually gained market acceptance in our local market and captured about 25 per cent of the heavy duty truck segment in 2011. This is a clear indica- tion of the strong potential for Auman heavy
duty trucks to penetrate into the market. ”
Ngu believes that
Auman heavy duty
truck can make a strong inroad
into the local market with greater acceptance of Foton’s product qual-
ity, high performance specification, in- novation design and competitive pricing. In addition, the strong after sales service network and 24 hour standby Res-Q Team at all service centres across Penin- sular Malaysia provided by the Group of companies also further enhance the con- fidence of Auman heavy truck owners.
“In order to provide wider service cover-
age, we have also appointed 15 inde- pendent service dealers in West Malay- sia,” he added.
The Auman prime mover 4x2 is priced around RM 190,000, revealed Ngu, and for 6x4 is around RM 240,000. Mean- while, the selling price for Auman dump truck and concrete mixer are around RM 210,000. All these prices are without the body construction.
