First Inokom Truck Commercial Vehicle Centre
The first Inokom Truck CV centre in Malaysia was opened in the heart of Shah Alam Indus- trial area recently. This specially designed and well equipped new commercial vehicle centre was made possible with an investment of over RM 1.5 million.
This newly launched centre is built to cater for heavy, large and high vehicles. Electrical, air and hydraulic supply lines are designed to come from the ceiling level instead of the conventional underground system found in 3C centres for passenger cars. There is ample space inside and outside the large 15,000sq ft build- ing for the ease of manoeuvring commercial vehicles. The hydraulic lifts are super heavy duty to cater for fully laden trucks that need immediate repairs. Daily service capacity is 25-30 vehicles and expanding.
To ensure a fast turnover of vehicles being serviced, some fast moving stocks of genuine spare parts are always at hand. For the convenience of the drivers waiting for their Inokom trucks to be serviced and/ or repaired, there is a comfortable air-conditioned lounge complete with light refreshment. Large glass areas allow them to watch their vehicles being worked on by trained mechanics from the Inokom Automotive Technical College. For added security, the premises are under a 24/7 security guard com- plete with CCTV at strategic locations.
In addition, adjoining the centre are a fully air-condi- tioned showroom and a discussion room. Fleet cus- tomers can come over and have a look at the latest Inokom trucks and to find out more on the products from their well-trained sales personnel.
In conjunction with the official opening, the company has also introduced the AD3 Turbo (Euro 2), in an- ticipation of the Malaysian government’s impending ruling to have all heavy commercial vehicles comply with the Euro2 exhaust emissions standards. The main difference is the addition of a factory-installed turbo-charger to the engine to ensure more com- plete combustion of fuel in order to reduce exhaust consumption. This variant gives fleet operators an opportunity to opt for the more advanced Euro2 compliant commercial vehicle.
The Inokom AD3 is a three tonner truck that is in- creasing in popularity. It is a tough commercial ve- hicle with the latest features at very competitive pricing. Based on Hyundai’s global top selling com- mercial vehicle, it can be adapted for all types of ap- plication, subject to local Road Transport Authority approval.
