In view of the rising need for an affordable and reliable tracking technology in the Asian market, the company launched its MiX Locate in April through collaborative efforts with their Asian channel partners. MiX Locate features, explained Du Plessis, include the “find nearest vehicle” function, real-time tracking and location management that are easy to use and accessible 24/7 via the visually appealing MiX Locate web interface. Customers are also able to keep tabs on their vehicles when they’re out and about through the MiX Locate mobile application, available for a range of smartphones includ- ing iPhone, BlackBerry and Android. Apart from tracking their mobile assets, customers are able to access essential vehicle performance information in- cluding vehicle speed, harsh braking and harsh acceleration, enabling them to gain full control over the performance of their fleet.
“To enhance safe driving, continuous training is important. Since our fleet management solution can provide our customer with timely information and key reporting and analytics tools that reveal how each driver is performing, we can also help them to implement highly effective, targeted driving training pro- grammes, which in turn result in efficient corrective action, improved driver be- haviour and reduced motors accidents. We hope that through this training, we will be able to help the fleet drivers from different industries to develop safer driving habits and feel supported and more satisfied in their jobs, ” he added.
