MAN Truck & Bus Malaysia recently handed its strongest and top-range recovery trucks to Syarikat Prasarana Negara Ber- had (Prasarana) at the RapidBus Cheras Selatan Complex.
Custom built to the customer’s requirement, the three recovery trucks for RapidKL and RapidPenang were to ensure that the national bus company would no longer depend on outside contractors if any of its buses needed to be towed.
MAN Truck & Bus was renowned world-wide for its adaptability and the MAN Modification Centre offered a wide range of conversions accord- ing to customer special request (CSR). In Europe, MAN Truck offered 3,000 different kinds of basic trucks that allowed for 50,000 options.
The trucks were the most advanced heavy vehicle tow-trucks in Malay- sia and were one of the largest. Able to pull up to 90 tonnes, these TGS 33.400 BB-WW 6X4 vehicles were the first MAN trucks purchased by Prasarana, which had previously ordered 150 MAN buses for RapidKL.
