   It adds that the SH1E 6x2 is priced at an affordable level, making it attractive com- pared to Japanese and European brands. The net chassis’ selling price starts from RM334,814. HMSM started selling this prime mover model here in mid-2014 and to-date has sold more than 10 units. The company says the outlook for this prime mover model here is promising mainly in the container haulage and transportation industry.
HMSM marked its 38th anniversary this year and says it has maintained the No 1 position in the 4.5-tonne and above commercial vehicle market for 5 consecutive years since 2010. It adds that one of Hino’s principles is to develop products based on QDR (Quality, Durability and Reliability) that parallels the concept of Hino Total Support.
Ken Iwamoto, Managing Director of HMSM, said: “Hino strongly believes in the concept of Total Support, which emphasises on caring for our customers’ business and aiming to contribute to their business requirements and success throughout the lifetime of our products. Our customers’ business will grow as we gain and foster their trust through our Total Support.”
He added: “In growing Hino’s business, we had established the Hino Total Support Customer Centre (HTSCC) outside of Japan in February 2015 next to our assem- bly plant in Sendayan, Negeri Sembilan. This facility provides two drivers training schemes - Safe Eco-cien Driver Training and Driver Familiarisation Training’ - to equip Hino owners with vehicle knowledge, safety and eco-driving skill techniques as one of the support activities for
the sustainable growth of our customer’s busi-
ness.”
