Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Truck Driver’s League 2016
Khairul Azhar Samaron of Landbridge Haulage (M) Sdn Bhd won the first prize in Malaysia Truck Driver’s League 2016 organized by Mercedes- Benz Malaysia Commercial Ve- hicles (MBMCV). The winner secured an exclusive trip to the International Motor Show (IAA) in Hannover, Germany, RM5000 cash prize, while his employer re- ceived parts and service vouchers worth RM10, 000.
First held in 2012, the Truck Driv- er’s League is open to all drivers in the employment of Mercedes- Benz Actros customers. In 2016, 120 participants signed up for the league to hone their mainte- nance, upkeep, safety and eco- nomical driving skills. Participants completed a series of qualifying rounds, which comprised of theo- ry and practical tests.

have mechanic background and knowledge, it gives me an advan- tage. When I won the grand prize, it was truly unbelievable, it was just like a dream.”
Khairul Azhar Samaron first repre- sented his company to participate in the Truck Driver’s League in 2013, then followed by attempts in 2014 and 2016. He won the first prize in 2013 and 2016 and claimed third prize in 2014.
Khairul Azhar Samaron readily ac- knowledges the tremendous sup- port given by his employer Land- bridge Haulage for his success story. He said “Certainly Landbridge Haulage has been a pillar behind my achievement ever since the first Truck Driver’s League in 2013. Landbridge has long promoted a strong safety culture and discipline towards a “defensive driving ap- proach”. They always emphasise the importance of training. Twice a month, the company organises a safety briefing and training for drivers together with the technical manager. Around 20-25 drivers at- tend this training on a rotation basis. However, this training is compulsory for new drivers.”

来 车(MBMCV)举办的2016年大马卡客车司机联盟 (Malaysia Truck Driver’s League 2016) 比赛冠军。获胜者除了获得前往德国汉诺威国 际商用车展(IAA)机会以及现金5000令吉之 外，他的雇主也获得价值1万令吉的零件与维修 礼券。
卡客车司机联盟大赛于2012年首度举办，该赛事 开放给所马赛地Actros的司机参与。在2016年的 赛事，总共有120位参赛者报名，测试他们的维 修、保养、安全与经济驾驶技能。参加者必须完 成一系列的资格赛，包括理论和实践测试。
“在半决赛，我们需要经过一条长达20公里的 技术路段，以测试我们的换挡技能。当我们进 入最后一轮时，我们需要进行7点检查。我的机 械背景与知识是我的一个优势。当我赢得大奖 时，的确令人难以置信，犹如一场梦。”
凯鲁于2013年首次代表公司参加卡客车司机联 盟大赛，接着在2014年与2016年再度尝试。他 在2013年获得冠军，2014年获得季军。
