Currently five of Landbridge’s existing drivers are in-house train- ers certified by Mercedes-Benz Malaysia. The training focuses on safety and prime mover handling. According to Samaron, Landbridge sent five drivers to participate in the previous Truck Driver's League and plans to send seven drivers for the next competition which will tentatively be held in 2018.
First time visiting an European country
As the winner, Khairul Azhar Samaron secured an exclusive trip to Germany. This is his first overseas trip. During this trip, he has visited the IAA show in Hannover as well as the Mercedes-Benz Museum and assembly plant in Stuttgart, Germany.
“It was my first time flying. I even applied for my first ever pass- port in my life after winning this competition. When I visited the Mercedes-Benz plant, I was inspired by their technology and ef- ficiency. ”
He said, the drivers in Germany are all professional. Their driv- ing attitude have great emphasis on road safety. He would take it as a lesson and hope to become a truck trainer in future.
Some advice for drivers
He started his driver career since 2009. He said, to become a successful driver, you must be very disciplined. He goes to office early in the mornings to get his schedule. At night, he seldom goes out and will rest early if he has an outstation trip the next morning.
For new truck drivers, he advise that the most important things are to be disciplined, good time management and drive with knowledge.
“All drivers must know the function of the trucks. We shouldn’t drive without any knowledge of the trucks. Every time when I found something not functioning properly, I will set out to settle the problem on the spot before starting my journey.”
Mercedes-Benz provide comfortable and safety
Currently Khairul Azhar Samaron drives a Mercedes-Benz Ac- tros but in his over 7 years driving experience, he has driven other brands before too.
“As a driver, we have KPI , which is 40 trips per month which in- cludes outstation trips too. For me, Mercedes-Benz trucks provide a good and comfortable driving experience. It is easy to operate and control. The air suspension provides a very smooth drive. ”

给予司机的一些建议
他从2009年开启卡车司机职业生涯。他说，要成为一个成 功的司机，首先必须注重纪律。 他很早到公司，提前安排 当日行程。 到了夜晚，他很少出门，假设他隔天早上有工 作，他也会提前休息。
对于新的卡车司机，他建议，最重要的关键是纪律、良好 的时间管理和具备驾驶知识。
“所有司机必须了解卡车的功能。 我们不应该在不具备任 何相关知识的情况下驾驶。每次当我发现卡车功能无法正 常运作时，我会在开始工作前立即解决问题。”
马赛地提供舒适度与安全性
目前凯鲁驾驶马赛地 Actros，他拥有7年的驾驶经验，过 去也曾驾驶过其他品牌。
“作为一名司机，我们有关键绩效指标(KPI)，那就是每 个月有四十趟工作。对我而言，马赛地卡车提供良好与舒 适的驾驶体验。 它易于操作和控制，空气悬挂系统提供非 常平稳的驱动。 ”
