CE Asia Product Launch and Opening of Platinum
CE Asia Heavy Machinery Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Wong Fong Industries Ltd that is listed on the Singapore Ex- change (SGX), organised a Sany Palfinger product launch in collaboration with Palfinger Asia Pacific Pte Ltd and the opening of its Platinum Service Centre. The event was held at CE Asia’s office in Kempas Utama Industrial Park, Johor Bahru on 16th De- cember, 2016.
The two new Sany Palfinger knuckle boom cranes (SPK) added to the company’s portfolio were the SPK 42502 MH and SPK 36080 MH. The SPK 42502 MH has a maximum lifting moment of 42.3mt and maximum outreach of 16.8m (6 hydraulic extensions) while the maximum lifting moment for SPK 36080 MH is 34.8mt with a maximum outreach of 12.1m (4 extensions).
Other features include Electronic Overload Protection (Paltronic 50) and Emergency Stop Button (comes standard for SPK 42502 MH). Lifting capacity can also be increased up to 10 per cent with High Power Lifting Systems. The lifting performance is optimised with the use of high tensile steel and a hexagonal boom design.
Commenting on the new products, Staffan Meijer, Vice President & General Manager, Business Area Asia of Palfinger, said: “The new Sany Palfinger product range introduced is designed in Europe and produced in Asia. We strongly believe in continuous improve- ment and making products closer to the market. This is part of the Palfinger worldwide product strategy. ”
He said the company was highlighting the bigger crane models in the Asian-made product range, which is SPK 36080 MH and SPK 42502 MH, for the first time in Malaysia. The Asian-produced range were from 6.5-metre ton up to 60-metre ton, which is the volume
