Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Plays Santa
Little did anyone realise that behind the thick white beard and red hat, Santa was none other than Mercedes- Benz Malaysia Sdn Bhd Presi- dent and CEO, Roland S. Folg- er, recently took on role of Santa Claus to deliver gifts to 148 chil- dren from the San Pedro Shel- ter Home, Rumah Kanak-Kanak Angels and Agathians Shel- ter and House of Joy who had gathered from these homes for a special Christmas celebration hosted by the leading premium automaker.
An initiative under the Mercedes- Benz Malaysia (MBM) StarBuild- ers programme, the children, ranging from four to 17 years old were treated to an afternoon of fun and games, and finally, lots of fantastic presents.
Each gift was contributed by a member of the MBM staff – a list of the children’s names, age and gender were distributed amongst staff and everyone picked out one particular child to present a gift to.
But no one was more satisfied than Folger who, in his first out- ing as Santa, was overwhelmed by the sheer joy and happiness emanating from the children.
“This really puts a lot of things into perspective. As we go about our daily lives trying to provide our customers with the best, we sometimes for- get there more to life than just cars. It is days like these when I know that Mercedes-Benz has achieved something priceless and heart warming. I could not have asked for a better start to the Christmas season for me and hopefully these children feel the same,” he said.

大马马赛地奔驰扮圣诞老人 与148名贫困儿童欢庆圣诞
没有人察觉在厚厚的白胡子和红 帽下的不是别人，而是大马马 赛地奔驰公司的总裁及首席执 行员福尔杰(Roland S.Folger)。他在大 马马赛地奔驰公司为贫困儿童主办的圣诞 庆典中，特别打扮成圣诞老人，亲自给148 名来自San Pedro Shelter Home 、Rumah Kanak-Kanak Angels、 Agathians Shelter 及 House of Joy 的儿童派送礼物。
此活动是由大马马赛地奔驰(MBM)Star Builder 项目所发起。当天，年龄介于4岁 至17岁的儿童渡过了一个充满欢笑和游戏 的下午，而且还收到了许多丰富的礼物。
每一份礼物都是由MBM的员工所提供
的――在此活动前，该公司将这些儿童的 姓名、年龄及性别都详细地列在一张表 上，分配给所有的员工，然后员工则各自 选择一名孩童，为他/她购买礼物。
但没有人比福尔杰更为满足，因为打扮成圣 诞老人的他，感染了小朋友们浓浓的喜悦。
“这让我们领悟到了什么才是最重要的! 当我们在日常生活中尝试着给我们的客户 提供最好的一切时，我们有时候会忘了除 了车子之外，生命中还有更重要的东西! 唯有在这样的日子里，我知道马赛地奔驰 温暖了人心，而这是无价的。因此，这对 我来说是圣诞季节最好的开始，我希望这 些小朋友们也和我一样。”
