    Acten Tire Technology Makes Aggressive Inroa
  Acten Tire Technology joined the ranks of Malaysia’s TBR tyre retreaders two years ago in order to help their trucking customers use their tyres to the fullest potential.
Alhough the company is very new in the market, Acten has, in fact, been involved in the industry for quite some time. Before it began to provide a retreading service to the market, Acten Tire Technology operated a model retreading plant, which served as a training centre for people who are interested in retreading, as well as to showcase its own range of retreading machinery and equip- ment. The expertise gained from manufacturing its own retread- ing equipment meant that it was deemed natural for the company to enter into direct production of retreads too.
“We are a member of the Negeri Sembilan Lorry Operators’ Asso- ciation, and we have received strong support from the members since we entered into this industry. Tyre retreading is environmen- tal friendly, it is a good business to invest in as it not only helps us to do our part for the environment, but also helps our customers to save costs,” said General Manager Susan Wong.
Before Acten Tire Technology ventured into this industry, Wong said, many people told her that tyre retreading has no future and it is a sunset business. “But, I see things differently. ” Wong con- tinued, “Malaysia is one of the largest natural rubber producing countries, which is our advantage because we have a reliable material source. In addition, our retreading technology and skills are good. As long as the logistics and transportation industry con- tinue to grow and the quality of casings is good, there will be op- portunities for retreaders. ”
Acten Tire Technology is concentrating solely on precure re- treading and is the only tyre retreader that is using Taiwan- ese technology in Malaysia at the moment. The company’s monthly output is about 2,000 pcs. Initially, 70% of production was from stock retreads with the remaining of 30% being from customer casings. Today, however, this percentage has been reversed with 70% coming from customer casings and 30% from stock retreads.

虽然在市场上算是新公司,可是高升投身于此行业事实 上已有一段时间了。在未开始提供翻胎服务前,高升轮 胎技术经营着一家模范翻胎工厂,作为有志于翻胎业者 的培训中心及展示他们的翻胎机械和设备。高升进军翻 胎业其实是自然不过的事,尤其他们从制造翻胎设备中 取得了许多珍贵的专门技术和知识。
“我们是森美兰罗里同业会的会员,自投入翻胎业以 来,我们取得了许多会员的强大支持。翻胎是环保事 业,也是一门很值得投资的生意,因为它不只让我们有 机会为环保贡献一份心力,而且协助我们的客户节省成 本。”总经理王虹玲表示。
在高升轮胎技术进入翻胎业前,王虹玲说,许多人告诉 她翻胎业没有前途,是个夕阳工业。“可是我的看法比 较不同,”她说:“马来西亚是其中一个最大的天然胶 生产国,而这正是我们的优势,因为我们拥有一个可靠 的原料来源。再加上,我们拥有很好的翻胎技术和技 巧。只要物流和运输业持续的成长,胎体的品质好,对 翻胎业者来说就有商机。”
高升轮胎技术专注在预硫化翻新,也是目前大马唯一一 家采用台湾翻胎技术的业者。该公司的月产量约2,000 条。最初,他们的产量中有70%来自库存胎体,客户胎体
