   Sendok Group Sees Great Poten
  In the past, major commercial vehicle brands from Europe and Japan have dominated the Malaysian market. But, in recent years, more and more Chinese brands have made inroads. This is partly driven by the Malaysian government, which plans to implement a ban on rebuilt commercial vehicles by 2015, thereby leading the major- ity of those who are in this business to venture into selling new commercial vehicles. In addition, the ban on rebuilt commercial vehicles means greater op- portunities for all new commercial ve- hicle players.
Sendok Group sees great potential in the local commercial vehicle market, establishing China Auto Manufacturers (M) Sdn Bhd in 2010 as the marketing arm of the group’s new light commer- cial vehicle business, which carries the CAM brand. To date, four models – Potente light trucks, Plutus pick-ups, Placer semi-panel and panel van and Placer-X high roof window van have been launched and marketed under the brand.
“The response has been overwhelm- ing. Though we only launched the CAM product last year, sales of our light commercial vehicles have already surpassed 100 units in the space of 2 months and are still increasing. Es- pecially the Potente JX103 model has made a significant contribution to sales,

Sendok集团在本地商用车市场中看到巨 大的商机,因此在2010年,成立了中国 汽车制造商(马)有限公司,作为该集 团新轻型商用车业务的营销臂膀,销售 CAM品牌的产品。截至目前为止,他们推 出了4种CAM车款—Potente轻卡、Plutus 小型货车、Placer半面板面包车和面包 车、Placer-X 高顶带天窗货车。
