The All-New Isuzu Elf Now Available in Mala

Isuzu held a grand launch at the Malaysia Interna- tional Exhibition and Conventional Centre (MIECC) recently to launch the Isuzu Elf, the all-new sixth- generation N-Series truck.
“These new trucks have been designed to further en- hance the benefits of owning an Isuzu vehicle. Its ad- vance design, superb engineering and excellent driver- centric features ensure that the all-new Isuzu Elf will continue to be the preferred truck among Malaysians,” said Isuzu Malaysia CEO Kimitoshi Kurokawa at the launch in Kuala Lumpur.
The Isuzu Elf has 3 models, starting with the 4-wheel NLR that comes with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of 4.8 tonnes, the 6-wheel NPR that has a GVW of 5 tonnes and a new 6-wheel NQR model that comes with a GVW of 8.5 tonnes, the first in its class to boast such a generous tonnage due to its high axle load capacity.
To meet the varying requirements of individual custom- ers, there are no fewer than 9 different configurations available in the Isuzu Elf range, including 2 high-perfor- mance common rail engines with 4,570cc and 5,193cc respectively, and 2 six-speed transmissions.
Being the first light duty truck in Malaysia to comply with stringent United Nations Economic Commission for Eu- rope (UNECE) safety standards - which have been ad- opted by Malaysia - is an important feature of the new Isuzu Elf series. The regulations cover various aspects of a vehicle and the Isuzu Elf series meets the require- ment of cab strength that the company claimed was of the most important. Its highly rigid cabin features a re- inforced frame that is designed to resist distortion in a collision, creating a survival space for the occupants.

五十铃Elf共推出3种款型，即车辆总重4.8吨的4轮NLR、车辆总重5 吨的6轮NPR以及全新6轮款式NQR。其中6辆NQR型号搭配卓越高效率 的车轴，为同级卡车中首个拥有最卓越的8.5吨车辆总重的款式。
全新五十铃Elf拥有多达9种款式设定，分别为各种不同的市场用途 而设计，包括两种分别为4，570cc和5，193cc高效共轨引擎和两种 6速变速箱选配，每一款都能充分及有效应付高装载需要。
该Elf系列的一个重要特点是，它是马来西亚首个符合联合国欧洲 经济委员会(UNECE)严格安全标准的轻型卡车车款。马来西亚政 府采纳了这个覆盖了车辆各方面的法令。五十铃Elf系列符合了该 公司宣称最重要的部分，也就是驾驶室的强度。其高刚性的驾驶 室特点是加强的车架设计，可抗碰撞变形，创造乘驾者的生存空 间。
为了符合联合国欧洲经济委员会的安全法规，全新Elf将其车门镜从 挡泥板移到车门侧边。这样一来无疑缩短了镜子和手之间的距离， 方便调整，也可降低它因被安装在突出部位而对行人造成伤害。
