顺丰为水泥行业提供创新运输解决方案
1975年，顺丰有限公司董事经理尤祖庆以一辆3吨卡车进军运输行 业。他自己就是司机，在做贸易的同时，也顺道为各行各业提供运 输服务。
“3年后，我决定聚焦于运输行业。当时，我孤军作战。我协助一位友人 将水泥运输到北海，这使我逐渐对这个领域产生兴趣。1994年，我从前 业主手里接管了顺丰，那时我们只有10辆货车。”他说。
这些年来，该公司成长迅速。2005年，该公司的车队拥有超过40辆卡 车。就在这时候，尤祖庆遇到了一个商机。事实上，他从来不曾对水泥 运输行业失去兴趣。因此，当其中一个运输业者决定出售他们的散装槽 罐车时，他决定投入该行业。

Syarikat Jasa Selamat Provides Innovative Transport Solu
Yew Choo Kein, the Managing Director of Syarikat Jasa Selamat Sdn Bhd, ventured into the transportation business in 1975 with a 3-tonne truck. He was the driver and while running his trading business, he also provided transportation services for various industries to the cities that were on his route.
“After 3 years, I decided to concentrate solely on the transportation business. At that time, I was still working alone. I helped a friend who provided cement transportation to Prai, which got me inter- ested in this segment. In 1994, I took over Jasa Selamat from the previous owner. We were run- ning 10 cargo trucks then,” he said.
Over the years, the company grew rapidly. In 2005, the company had a fleet of more than 40 trucks and opportunity came. Yew never lost his interest in cement transportation and decided to venture into this bulk tanker segment when an- other transporter sold off its bulk cement tankers.
Many of Yew’s friends were not optimistic about his decision to expand to the bulk cement transporta- tion sector. However, Yew proved them wrong with the continual growth of the company and a further expansion of its fleet.
Initially, the fleet comprised rebuilt trucks. From 2007 and 2008, the company changed about 100 of them to brand new vehicles. Besides that, it invested on another 18 tipper trailers in 2007, 12 rigid cargo trucks in 2010 and concrete mixers in 2012 to boost the business.
Today, Ipoh-based Jasa Selamat has not only be- come a sophisticated logistics company that han-
