“Currently, the majority of vehicles in our fleet are bulk cement tankers, which accounts for more than 100. This has proven that we have made the right decision. It is the courage to step out of the comfort zone, the bold attempt of trying out new things that contributed to the success. For instance, traditionally the cement tanker in Malaysia has a smaller size tank; we were the first transporter to use a larger and longer size cement tank. The higher capacity cement tanker provides the advantage in load- ing and optimises trips and fleet usage that ultimately reduces overall transportation cost. We were also the first transporter to introduce 4-axle tank trailers in Southeast Asia.”
The ability to provide safe, innovative and efficient solutions as well as the willingness to offer more to the clients distinguished the company from the others. “We have gained a wealth of ex- perience and knowledge over the years, especially in the busi- ness of moving cement that enables us to perform the transpor- tation tasks economically, sustainably and with an eye on the environment. Yew has good foresight. Ten years back, when the vehicle repair and maintenance service contract was not commonly offered in the industry, he signed service contracts with the vehicle manu- facturers. “This allowed us to concentrate on our core business as no one knows the trucks better than their manufacturers. Our workshop only handles minor maintenance and repair. We use
