ECE 90法规(ECE R90)是联合国世界车辆法规协调论 坛所制定的。该法规着重在设计、施工、性能需求， 汽车安全性及机动车替换刹车片的测试协议。
刹车片有各种尺寸和组合，其复合物系统级别从E到 H，第一个字母标示的是当刹车片在冷时的标称摩擦水 平，第二个数字显示的则是刹车片热时的制动效果。

As one of Australia’s leading disc brake pad providers, Bendix knows that maintaining a strong market pres- ence through its innovative products is critical to its lon- gevity. One product that has made a name for itself is Protrans, which has become one of Bendix’s top selling lines.
To stay ahead of the competition, braking specialist Bendix says that it is always engineering new products and enhancements to help customers get optimum performance from its vehicles.
Protrans, which is described as its most popular product in recent years, is a specialised brake pad that provides quieter braking with improved braking power. “Manufactured using the latest processes, Protrans provides excellent durability, driver comfort and lower maintenance costs for fleet owners,” Bendix says.
The Protrans line is applicable across both trucks and trailers. “The Protrans is engineered to the highest safety standards and complies with ECE R90 regulation that calls for brake pads to be tested for braking capabilities, speed sensitivity, cold perfor- mance and frictional characteristics,” the company states.
This disc brake pad’s strong wearing properties had made it one of Bendix’s top selling lines. “Using ceramic metallic mate- rial within a friction rating of GG, the extreme wear life of the Protrans disc pads become apparent over time,” Bendix says.
“It’s built to withstand extremely high temperatures, giving it ex- ceptional pad and rotor life, while minimising the risk of brake fade. It’s a fit and forget product and enables the user to get the most out of the vehicle over its service life.
“Whether it’s the truck or trailer, fleet operators will appreciate the security of predictable, stable friction level across a range of temperatures and conditions and to date, the Protrans pad has delivered.”
ECE Regulation 90 (ECE R90) was developed by the United Nations’s World Forum for Harmonisation of Vehicle Regula- tions. ECE R90 focuses on the design, construction, perfor- mance requirements, vehicle safety and test protocols for re- placement brake linings for road vehicles.
Brake pads come in a variety of blends and sizes, and fall un- der a letter grade compound system from E to H, with the first letter indicating the nominal friction level when the brakes are cold and the second letter the brake effect when the brakes are warm.
In Bendix’s case, the Protrans’ GG rating indicates a high friction pad applicable to commercial road vehicles, as com- pared to an EE rating most commonly found in brake pads used for cars.
