Thermo King’s new trailer refrigeration unit: SLXi series
The SLXi, Thermo King’s new trailer refrigeration unit, was designed the SLXi to meet all customers’ demands for ultra-fresh produce delivered to ultra-tight schedules while limiting overall costs. In other words, upsizing performance while downsizing operating costs.
Offered as an extensive range of single and multi-tem- perature units, the SLXi is customised with performance- enhancing options. A refrigeration unit, like any capital equipment, must deliver a return on investment which is quantified by calculating the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).Fuel typically comprises more than 50 per cent of the TCO over a 7 year first life.
The SLXi can deliver substantial savings of 10 to 20 per cent (depending on operating profile) on average when compared with its already impressive predecessor. Ev- ery SLXi unit is equipped as standard with the most ad- vanced telematics and connectivity capability available, the powerful Thermo King BlueBox.It provides Bluetooth functionality as standard, real-time information and 2-way communication.
