Palfinger Brings Eight New Models and Bags of Confide
Palfinger showed its confidence in the mar- ket with two displays at Hanover. The first a sub-stantial indoors stand for Palfinger Tail Lifts, the second a larger and much more ambi- tious outdoor display over 1,400 square metres of the showground. The company displayed some 26 different products extending from the latest heavy- duty crane PK 165.002 TEC 7 and timber and recycling cranes to container handling systems, truck-mounted forklifts and access platforms.
The Palfinger Group reported a strong start to 2016 with strong growth in the first quarter. Group sales increased year-on-year by 9.8 per cent and came to 665.6 million Euro, com-pared to 606.2 million Euro in the first half of 2015. This consti- tutes a record value for half-yearly sales. The EBIT of the Palfinger Group increased dispropor- tionately by 21.4%, from EUR 53.5 million to EUR 64.9 million.
The introduction of eight new models means that Palfinger now supplies a complete SOLID series from 5 to 12 mt. Combined with its series over- haul, it’s more than just a facelift. The new cranes have a greater lifting capacity than their predeces- sor models but with the same dead weight. SOLID stands for robust, easy and cost-effective cranes. In terms of the tech-nology, the SLD crane series emphasises a proven high level of quality while its position-ing promises an optimum price-perfor- mance ratio. The right attachment turns the crane into a multi-functional machine.
The latest crane from the SOL- ID series will be on show for the first time: The outstanding fea- tures of the PK 18.001L SLD 3 are its speed and reliability, thanks to a lifting torque of 17.7 mt with a maximum hydraulic reach of 13.5 metres. Efficient handling of building mate-rials is guaranteed thanks to the op- timum loading height at close range as well as the max-imum action radius with a 440° slew- ing angle. Optimum visibility and a high level of opera-tor comfort on the new top seat guarantee ideal working condi- tions on the crane.
